Several actions are performed by workers of the Forestry Service in San José de las Lajas to guarantee forestry growth in areas of Mayabeque capital.
Plantation of trees in the 14 forestry farms located besides the National Highway, the selective and combative forest of Defense and areas of protection of flora and fauna are among the principal actions carried out today.
On the other hand, plants of different wooden and fruit species are supplied to the cattle company Valle del Perú and Nazareno. This task is possible thanks the fulfillment of the annual plan of this forestry unit of the territory with 47 000 plants.
Cedar, mahogany, mango, mamey and avocado are among the principal wooden and fruit species planted in that company.
